That August tutorial is picking up speed again, adding roughly 37,000 views in a day, nearly seven times its usual daily pace. The London creator, whose channel centres on Y2K alternative clothing, combines camouflage cargo trousers with pink sweatpants rather than simply cropping an existing pair.
The pink elastic waistband sits inside the camouflage waist, creating the doubled-up look. More pink fabric becomes appliqué letters spelling "WATERFALL" across the front. Between the waistband, lettering and extra fabric at the inner seams, both original garments contribute more than a splash of colour.
A cat rests beside the sewing materials, and its purring has become a subject in its own right. Viewers discuss mistaking the sound for their own cat or even muffled bass from a nearby club. Another says the creator inspired them to buy a first sewing machine and start remaking unused clothes.
The older jorts tutorial is moving alongside a much larger burst for the new sweatpants-to-ruffle-miniskirt upload, which added about 1.3 million views in a day. That video is labelled as a partnership with Whatnot. Sweatpants are proving versatile material on I_thriftflip: a second waistband in one project, a foldover skirt in another.
