‘F*king Hands Off Our Votes’: Robert De Niro & Mark Ruffalo's Hold Nothing Back In Anti-Trump Speech
Hook Global spent its week on the road to the midterms, and the loudest stop was a stage in New York. At the 'Hands Off Our Vote' event, Robert De Niro went after Donald Trump in language the title has to bleep, urging Americans to take back the House and the Senate. Mark Ruffalo followed with a warning about election interference and a call for ordinary voters to act as 'election protectors.' The clip was barely an hour old and already ahead of everything else the channel posted.
The other fourteen uploads kept to the same theme. Jon Ossoff, campaigning across Georgia, accused Trump of paying for political ads with taxpayer money and challenged Mike Collins, his Republican opponent, to break with him. Of all the channel's videos, that speech is drawing the most views a day right now. Kamala Harris joined a Democratic get-out-the-vote call, and Bernie Sanders spoke in California against the war and against aid to Israel's government.
One video stepped outside politics: Karl Deisseroth at Stanford, cheered by colleagues and recalling a Nobel call that came after midnight.
The channel ran a little below its usual daily pace and added about 10,000 subscribers. Even so, no news channel of similar size gained more views over the week.
