Hipyo Tech goes looking for a cheaper keyboard after a previous budget pick becomes harder to recommend. The result is "This $39 Keyboard Is INSANE...", the most-watched of his two uploads this week, with about 209,000 views.

The Linky 87 gets more than a quick typing test. Hipyo pulls the keycaps, examines the BSun linear switches and opens the casing to inspect the gaskets, foam and battery compartment. He identifies it as sharing an original equipment manufacturer with the Smack Ape Impact 80. The appeal is practical as well as audible: VIA configuration support and hot-swappable switches leave room to change how it works and feels. Quiet, however, it is not.

Hipyo says he bought the keyboard himself and the review is not sponsored. His enthusiasm is tied closely to its budget price, which makes the comments especially relevant: several viewers report finding higher prices when they shop, while others compare availability in Germany and the UK. Those reports don't establish why prices changed, but they do make the bargain less straightforward than the title suggests.

The other new upload, "This Keyboard is SO QUIET?! 🤫", offers the week's neatly contrasting premise. Both are among the channel's strongest daily draws, alongside the older Flex Bar review, "Finally Someone Did What Apple Couldn't...", which continues attracting substantial viewing beyond its launch.

The channel added 10,000 subscribers over the week, though daily views are running a little below their usual level. Among nearby gadget channels, META PCs had a particularly large viewing week; Hipyo Tech also drew a substantial weekly audience, larger than most of that same-size group.

What viewers say

  • I have this as my work keyboard for almost a year now, only downside i can find is it has short battery life when all the RGB is on. Overall a very good keyboard, also no bloatware software needed to install.

  • It always surprises me how much cheaper keyboards often are in the USA.

  • fun fact if you hate TKL keyboards for not having volume knobs you can rebind Print/Scroll/Pause keys to Mute/Volume Down/Volume Up butttons. and a lot of keycap sets have those exact buttons included
  • If this had a volume knob, it would be pretty much perfect for a cheap board. Even if it ment if would be 5 or w/e € more.
    I would buy that.
