We're both behavior analysts in a way 🧠🗣️🤣 | Gianmarco Soresi | Stand Up Comedy Crowd Work
What happens when a stand-up meets someone whose job is figuring out why people act the way they do? Gianmarco Soresi found out in the front row, and "We're both behavior analysts in a way" became the most watched of his ten uploads this week, near 400,000 views. His guest works with children, and she lays out the reasons behind a behavior with a straight face while he keeps turning them into jokes. Commenters keep coming back to the moment someone "just wanted water," to his crestfallen reaction after one answer, and to the way he soaks in the silence after a bad joke. A long thread under it belongs to people in autism care, explaining that not speaking is not the same as not communicating.
The faster climber is two days younger. "The hold Dragon Ball Z had over me," a clip from his visit to the Wildmen podcast, is drawing views at about twice the crowd-work clip's daily pace and has nearly caught it already.
His own show, The Downside, had Jack Whitehall on, and the British comedian's clip about Kate Middleton's world is the week's third big mover. It fits the calendar: Soresi's pinned comment lists a run of UK dates through October, from Birmingham to Bristol.
The channel as a whole is running well above its usual daily pace. Among stand-up channels close to his size, only Michael Blaustein gained more views this week, while Taylor Tomlinson and Matteo Lane are also running hot and Russell Peters is closer to his normal.
