A blocked deportation gives Patrick Christys a second fast start for GB News
The monologue arrived on the same day as his Flydubai segment, which has since passed 80,000 views.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 53,812 views a day, 16 times a normal first day on this channel (3,396).
'Gun-toting Gazan illegal immigrant's deportation BLOCKED over human rights! | Patrick Christys
Six hours after it went up, Patrick Christys' newest monologue had passed 21,000 views. That pace points to around sixteen times what a GB News upload usually gathers in its whole first day.
It is the second Christys segment from September 30 to take off. The first, his reaction to the hijacking of a Flydubai flight bound for Israel, opened far above the channel's usual pace, as we reported here, and it is still the bigger of the two. Both come in the same wrapping: a line from the presenter in quotation marks, then his name.
This one is "'Gun-toting Gazan illegal immigrant's deportation BLOCKED over human rights! | Patrick Christys". Its description says Christys sets out his anger that Britain is struggling to deport a man he describes as armed and as having called for the death of Jews, with human rights grounds standing in the way. The billing presents the case as a message the government is sending to Islamist groups. Neither the title nor the description names the man.
The comment section filled up quickly, and it talks more about Westminster than about the case itself. Labour, the Home Secretary and human rights law draw most of the attention. The most liked comment brings up a Polish politician who, the commenter says, was barred from entering the UK.
The clip is cut from the evening slot Christys anchors. The full editions of Patrick Christys Tonight and its late edition go up on the channel as well, and on a day carried by his two monologues, the channel as a whole ran a little above its normal daily level.

The numbers
The figures show a second Christys segment in a single day opening well beyond what a new GB News video usually draws.
