Garbage Time's Honda Life comes with a cabin of relics
Nicknamed Dumpy, the rundown minicar turns a garage inspection with James into an excavation of old wrappers, coins and paperwork.

An unused electoral enrolment form is not the usual starting point for a car project. In Garbage Time's only upload this week, it joins a retro Hungry Jack's bag and old coins among the debris inside a 1972 Honda Life.
"The roughest nugget I've ever owned." introduces Dumpy, a rusty four-door with a South Australian registration sticker that expired in 1992. The host and James work through the cabin like garage archaeologists, lifting the rear seat and floor lining to find glass fragments, an insect nest and yet more remnants of other people's journeys. Recent Sour Patch Kids complicate the time capsule a little.
The affection is less ambiguous. "This is Dumpy, so I love Dumpy with all my heart," the host says. Once the Honda reaches the hoist, its floor pans prove surprisingly solid. By the closing stretch, attention has shifted from rubbish removal to the engine and a timing-belt inspection before any attempt to start it.
Dumpy has drawn roughly 891,000 views and is the channel's busiest video right now. Viewers are supplying suitably tiny comparisons, including lawn equipment's turtle-and-rabbit speed selector and popcorn chicken rather than a full nugget. Others pick up on the contrast between the engine and the rudimentary suspension.
Across the catalogue, Garbage Time collected about 1.5 million views this week and added subscribers. Daily viewing is running at twice its usual level. Among nearby motoring channels, Pushing Pistons had the biggest viewing week, while Zip Tie Tuning and RESTORED matched Garbage Time's subscriber gain.
The older experiments have not disappeared beneath the cabin dust: "I replaced my engine oil with cheese." remains the next-busiest upload, followed by "The Rolls Royce has been a disaster."
