Rhod Gilbert turns the relationship between a difficult life and stand-up material into the premise of Universal Comedy's most watched new upload. In the short preview of Rhod Gilbert & the Giant Grapefruit Live, he recalls his cancer diagnosis and describes how the thought of making a comedy tour followed his initial fear of dying.

It is a promotional preview for the filmed special, rather than a full performance. Recorded in Treorchy, Wales, the show is due for digital release on 7 December. The clip has gathered about 5,000 views, the largest total among the channel's four uploads this week.

A second Gilbert upload shares the programme with "How The Internet Saved Sarah Millican | Outsider | Universal Comedy" and "Sean Lock At His Absolute Best | Universal Comedy". Lock's compilation arrived late in the week but currently has the strongest daily viewing of the new releases. His older "Sean Lock's On 70s Comedians | Lockipedia | Universal Comedy" is also active, approaching 200,000 views.

Across the archive, Universal Comedy added roughly a million views over the week. Subscribers were unchanged, despite daily viewing now running at more than twice its usual level. That makes this a week of extra viewing rather than audience expansion: Gilbert supplied the most watched new clip, while Lock's performances are carrying the most momentum at the close.
