Freya Skye brings Mario's question block to the concert stage

A confetti-filled costume performance joins Manchester soundchecks and Wolverhampton Q&As in an eight-upload week.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

HAPPY FREYAWEEN !!!

The yellow question block descends, and Freya Skye knows exactly what to do: jump up and punch it from underneath. Confetti bursts across the stage. She drops to her knees, microphone in hand, then gets back up and skips on, keeping the singing going throughout.

That is the little piece of video-game theatre in "HAPPY FREYAWEEN !!!", her most-watched new upload of the week, with about 333,000 views. The Mario cap completes the setup. In the comments, viewers pick out the whole team's costumes, remember earlier dinosaur and Tinker Bell outfits, and propose making Freyaween an official holiday.

The rest of the week's eight uploads offer a less explosive view of performing life: VIP soundchecks from both Manchester nights, another from Wolverhampton, and a Cosmic VIP Q&A from Wolverhampton's second night. The latter is among the channel's busiest videos right now, alongside two new day-in-the-life posts.

One of those, "a day in the life on the stars align tour", follows Freya through a tour day in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Its backstage premise gives this run of posts something beyond the stage lights: a look at the routine around the performance.

The channel added roughly 4,000 subscribers over the week, continuing to grow, though more slowly than its month-long average. Among nearby music channels, SIENNA SPIRO had a larger week for both views and new subscribers, while Talia Mar's subscriber count was unchanged. Freya's own week belongs to the road, with soundchecks, questions and a well-timed punch supplying the highlights.
