Man killed in Buford over alleged affair early Sunday | FOX 5 News
FOX 5 Atlanta's Marc Teichner reports from outside the DeKalb County Jail following an arrest in a fatal shooting outside a Doraville restaurant. Police say the shooting was connected to an alleged affair.
One man was killed, and two other people inside the restaurant were injured by broken glass. The report places the shooting on Buford Highway early Sunday, rather than in the city of Buford, as the upload's title might suggest.
Teichner reports that police stopped the suspect and that he admitted to the shooting. The man faces charges including murder and aggravated assault and was being held without bond at the time of the broadcast.
The brief report drew more than 125,000 views in its first 18 hours, far beyond the station's usual first-day audience for Shorts. Teichner's update covers the arrest, the reported motive and the injuries to people inside the restaurant.
