Schiff, Bove and a court order: an Indian business paper's unlikely Washington hit
A Senate Judiciary clip of Adam Schiff questioning Emil Bove about a whistleblower's account drew about as many viewers in seven hours as a typical upload on the channel draws in a month of first days.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 300,465 views a day, 56 times a normal first day on this channel (5,375).
“DID YOU SAY ‘F* YOU’?” Schiff Corners Trump Nominee Emil Bove Over Court Order Claims | WORLD NEWS
The Financial Express, the Indian business daily, put up a few minutes of a Senate hearing, and they traveled far. Seven hours after it went up, the clip of Senator Adam Schiff questioning Emil Bove had passed 125,000 views. On a usual first day, a new video here reaches around five thousand.
The exchange comes from Bove's confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, held in June 2025 after President Trump nominated him to a federal appeals court. Before that, Bove had been one of Trump's defense lawyers and then a senior official at the Justice Department.
Schiff works through a whistleblower complaint line by line. Did Bove suggest that department lawyers might ignore court orders? Did he say the deportation planes had to take off no matter what? Did he help keep an oral court order from other agencies? The headline's bleeped question is Schiff asking whether he told colleagues the courts could be told off. Bove denies suggesting that any order be ignored and says he does not recall some of the wording. Schiff then asks for the notes from those meetings, arguing they would show whose account holds up.
The comments keep returning to that "I don't recall," and to the idea that meetings like these should be on the record.
It stands well apart from the rest of the channel's Washington coverage. A Patty Murray floor speech about blocked federal funding, posted the next day, had drawn a couple of thousand views so far.
