This Girl Is Joining The NFL?
FieldFlix runs on questions with a question mark at the end: did a plane crash into an NFL stadium, did a game get bombed, did Minecraft cost a coach a Super Bowl? This week's biggest one was "This Girl Is Joining The NFL?", and it went past 1.8 million views.
The comment section did not settle the question so much as turn into a kicking clinic. Viewers trade league accuracy averages, argue over whether her longest kick would hold up on Sundays, and one admits he was ready to scoff until he heard how consistent she is. Others ask the practical things, like how locker rooms would work. The jokes come too, the most liked of them a deadpan warning about roughing the kicker.
The rest of the nine uploads leaned on the channel's usual mix of history and oddity. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is tagged in the Minecraft video. A clip on why players coat their gloves in sticky stuff name-checks Jerry Rice and Peyton Manning. The newest, "The HOTTEST Game In NFL History..", promises 200 degrees in its description and carries Cowboys and Eagles tags. It drew more than 85,000 views in its first six hours, the quickest start of anything here. Last week's plane-crash video is still drawing viewers too, a few days after it went up.
The channel as a whole ran at less than half its usual daily pace, yet it still added about 11,000 subscribers. Among American sports channels near its size, only We Got Ice gained more views over the week, and most of the group, from Josh Pate's show to Strictly Football, were running below their own norms.
