Cardamom, rose and pistachio: a Persian Love Cake for a friend's new home
Yumna's second upload of the week, a lasagna-stuffed spaghetti squash, arrived just as fall cooking season opens.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Persian Love Cake | FeelGoodFoodie
The cake carried it. Feelgoodfoodie posted two recipes, and the Persian Love Cake from September 28 has the clearest pull on the channel, closing in on 28,000 views in four days.
Yumna, the Lebanese-American cook behind the channel, describes it as nearly all of her favorite flavors in one cake: cardamom, rose, pistachio and orange, the tastes she grew up with. She baked it as a housewarming present for a friend, cake platter included, and the description reports it went over well.
The second upload landed only hours before this note: "Lasagna Spaghetti Squash," her fall ritual of roasting the squash, here filled with layers of meaty sauce, cheese and ground beef. The description points to a safer way of cutting the squash open, and calls it a dinner her kids ask for.
Older videos are still moving too. "Chickpea Gyro Bites" came out of a month in which she ate a can of beans for lunch every day, and "Cookbook Dinner Club" shows friends cooking a whole spread from her own cookbook, from mujadara and tahini kafta to rose-mango rice pudding.
The channel's daily views sit right at their usual level. Among food channels of a similar size, ShoPhoCho is drawing far bigger days, while Daym Drops is in a quieter stretch.
