An axolotl gives FalseSymmetry's copper fisherman a tow

Her only new episode adds a fishing-rod illusion, palace balconies and a kelp farm hidden inside the walls.

How do you persuade a copper golem to sail around a pond? FalseSymmetry finds an answer with rather more personality than a motor: leash an axolotl to its boat and let the little swimmer pull.

In "Hermitcraft S11: This Copper Golem can Fish! | Episode 32", she first puts a fishing rod into a chest for the golem to hold. The result looks like a tiny angler, though attempts to leash fish do not work. The axolotl proves a more useful partner. "Wait, is this the answer? This is the answer," she says as the boat starts moving like a chariot.

That experiment gives the week's only upload its centrepiece, drawing roughly 23,000 views. It also answers the unsuccessful boat-moving attempts in the previous episode, which paired the problem with Pearl, Impulse and Joe's jumpscare outing at Mumbo's Art Gallery. The new instalment now supplies most of the channel's daily viewing; that prank episode and "Hermitcraft S11: The Fantasy Fountain | Episode 30" remain smaller sources of momentum.

Between pond tests, the palace gets towers, balconies and more structure around its future interiors. A kelp farm designed by iHateFallingBlocks sits concealed inside the walls. Viewers are contributing to the landscaping too, suggesting waterlogged stair patterns, damp rooms and names for the pond's new double act. One proposes Bubble and Squeak for the axolotl and golem.

Subscribers held steady across the week, while daily views are now about three times their usual level. Nearby Minecraft channels had larger weekly viewing totals, with Johnny World particularly busy. FalseSymmetry's week was more compact: a single episode, a growing palace and an aquatic towing arrangement that needs further adjustment whenever its swimmer catches on the scenery.

What viewers say

  • I'm really chuffed that my suggestion not only kinda worked, but made it to the thumbnail.

I added a baby nautilus version of this to my own Minecraft world while experimenting with the idea. I love them so much.

Name suggestion for the pair of them would be Bubble (axolotl) and Squeak (Golem).
  • Chest boat looks more like a fisherman, with their tackle box. Love your stuff!!

  • Idea suggestion for the kelp-wall room: A floor made of waterlogged stairs arranged in a cool pattern. Water enters from the pond side archway, flows through a network of waterlogged stairs (or other blocks), and exits out the other archway into a cool waterfall.

  • 8:03 A kelp farm made by ihatefallingblocks, with a falling concrete powder door... love it
  • When you said “as happy as Larry” I thought you were referring to the sulfur cube, so you should name him Larry!

  • I very much enjoy the axolotl-golem symbiotic friendship

  • I love the idea of the Kelp room having water and being moist in general. I don't know what kinda design you feel like for the interior, but a dark, damp environment with fire flies and dripping water effects seems pretty cool to me. Or maybe if you have a room underneath the water feature in the kelp room, you could use the dripping water effect there.

  • You could name the axolotl and golem Todd and Copper, respectively. Scar will appreciate it because it's a Disney movie reference to The Fox and the Hound.
  • Your base just keeps getting more stunningly beautiful each episode!
