Fab Rats has heavy lifting to do before its new wrecker can lift anything else. Paul and the crew collect military axles, paint the giant wheels black and wrestle the tires into place. One mounted assembly weighs roughly 389 pounds. Even getting the parts ready is a project.
"We're Building a MONSTER Tow Truck... Sorry Murphys Diesel!" was the most watched of the week's two uploads, reaching more than half a million views. The preparations come with a practical interruption: the wrecker collecting parts develops an electrical problem, prompting a relay swap. Back at the shop, the acquired axles need attention too, with stiff bearings and rebuild kits on the job list.
Viewers are already sketching alternatives in the comments. Some suggest a tilt front clip; others had hoped Paul would use the Peterbilt cab he has tucked away. The familiar banter between Paul, Wrecker Rick and Matt gets a mention too.
The other new upload, "Our Wood Truck Has One BIG Problem We Didn't See Coming!", puts the homemade dump bed under a heavy firewood load and adds another muddy recovery. It is currently drawing views fastest, while the earlier road trip to collect a daughter's dream car, a 1965 Ford Mustang, remains busy alongside both new projects.
Subscriber growth has accelerated, with most of the past month's additions arriving this week. Daily viewing is also comfortably above the channel's usual level. Among nearby building and DIY channels, THE FLIPPED PIECE and WeldTube are having lively viewing days too. Fab Rats' week, though, has a particularly substantial object at its center: a tow truck whose wheels already require a hoist.

I like your idea on a new wrecker. But I was truly hoping you were going to use that Peterbilt cab you have stashed away.
