Things we can learn from the video

- 0:36The redesigned script editor adds formatting, tabs, auto-save and imports from Word or Google Docs.
- 2:10Operator Mode lets a separate operator manage the teleprompter feed alongside the presenter.
- 3:08Prompter chat integrations support Twitch, YouTube and Kick, with customizable styling and timestamps.
- 3:41Virtual Prompter turns an existing laptop or monitor into a teleprompter.
- 5:10Capture recordings can use selected audio sources, including microphones and Wave Link mixes.
- 5:31One Elgato Studio Stream Deck plugin combines capture, camera and Prompter controls.
Writing a script no longer requires having a Prompter connected. That small workflow change is part of Elgato's larger rearrangement: Studio 2.0 brings its teleprompter, camera and capture-card tools into a single Mac and PC app, replacing Camera Hub and 4K Capture Utility.
The company's product showcase was its most watched new upload, reaching roughly 8,200 views. It demonstrates an editor with tabs, auto-save and document importing, plus an Operator Mode that lets someone else manage the teleprompter feed. Virtual Prompter takes the idea beyond dedicated hardware, using an existing laptop or monitor as the reading screen.
The comments get into the practicalities of switching. Several viewers request Linux support; others ask about flashback recording, pedal control and the Prompter adjustments they use through Stream Deck. Those are questions about fitting the update into an established setup, rather than simply adding another app.
A separate launch stream and Q&A accompanied the showcase. The rest of the week's uploads stayed with audio: pairing Stream Deck + with Wave XLR Dock, demonstrating automatic ducking, and introducing Wave Go's wireless transmitter. The Studio overview remains the channel's busiest individual video right now, with the newest Wave Go clip and launch Q&A also drawing views.
Subscribers held steady, while daily viewing is running below Elgato's usual level. Its weekly views sit between those of Microsoft Azure and Apple Developer, though Microsoft Developer had a much larger week. For Elgato, the most concrete new detail is in the software: choosing a recording's audio source now includes the option of a Wave Link mix.
