A 1979 Honda Super Cub, welded back to the millimeter, carries DT Restoration's pause

The bike was bought as scrap with a badly broken frame, and seventeen months later it is still the channel's busiest video.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

DT Restoration has passed 210 million views in total, and the channel's ordinary pace barely shifted while no new video went up. Around 12,000 views a day, the same as usual, and no change in subscribers: a steady week for a workshop that took a break.

The video doing the most work is a Honda Super Cub from 1979, described as near scrap because its frame was so badly broken. The description walks through the job: re-welding the frame to the exact millimeter, a fresh paint job, the engine rebuilt and the fairing put back, and finally that first start after years of silence. It is fitting material for this channel, since the Super Cub is the step-through that Honda has built in its tens of millions, the kind of machine that turns up in sheds and scrapyards all over Asia.

Behind it come two other rescues from the same stretch of last year: a ceiling fan with broken blades, bought from a scrapyard for, in the creator's words, a few tens of thousands, and a Panasonic TV left outside in a garden until mold and rust set in. The tags on that one say Vietnam, and the about text says the restorations are a free-time passion.

Among the DIY and home channels of similar size, this was the quietest week for views gained, while Quickdvice added about 40,000 subscribers. DT Restoration's slower rhythm is its own: old things, taken apart one screw at a time.
