'She hates my art': Adrian Vazquez's painting surprise passes a million
No new uploads went up, and the eight-day-old painting video sits beside a 149-day-old AI DIY episode that has passed 56 million views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Surprising her with a Painting (she hates my art)
Adrian Vazquez took the week off from posting, and his channel ran hotter than usual anyway, close to twice its ordinary daily pace.
Two videos are doing nearly all of that work, and they could hardly be more different in age. "Surprising her with a Painting (she hates my art)" went up eight days ago and has already passed 1.3 million views. The title sets up the joke on its own: a painting made as a gift for someone who, by his account, is no fan of his art. Whether the surprise lands is left for the video to tell.
The other is "Recreating DIY projects made by AI Ep. 1," posted about five months ago and now past 56 million views. It is still the single biggest draw on the channel, pulling in more each day than the new painting video does. The idea is simple and very of its moment: let an AI dream up a craft project, then try to build it for real. The "Ep. 1" in the title promises a series.
Further back, "Cool Wall Art DIY," from three weeks ago, is closing in on 800,000 views at a gentler pace.
The subscriber count held at 816,000, which puts Adrian sixth of nine among the DIY and home channels near his size. Helpful DIY and DT Restoration kept to their usual rhythm, while Quickdvice, with its lighter tricks, gained 40,000 subscribers in the same stretch.
