"I'm a witch," Billie says, as a glowing discovery opens onto a bustling fantasy world. Disney's new Hexed teaser makes that realization its centerpiece, moving quickly from a mystical altar to a town square filled with creatures and magic users.

The promotional Short has drawn roughly 290,000 views in its first 11 hours, a much faster start than Walt Disney Animation Studios usually sees for the format. It follows an earlier ticket-release video and the music-backed "Hexed | Wicked Fun", but this glimpse puts the setting itself front and center: a grand castle, pointed hats, a secluded cottage and fireworks.

Hexed follows Billie Doe, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, whose newly unleashed abilities send her out of suburbia and into a witch realm. Her cautious mother Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones, must join her on a journey that uncovers family mysteries. The film is scheduled to open in theaters on November 25.

This teaser leaves those complications largely aside. A narrator welcomes visitors to the world of witches, while Billie gets a more hands-on introduction: standing in a grassy field, she rises off the ground with glowing magical energy gathering in her hands.
