Bhai Tika, the Tihar ritual in which sisters honor their brothers with tika and blessings, gives the dispute its sting. Ram faces pressure over a debt even before the celebrations get underway. Radha asks her father to give him breathing room during the festival, but Shruthi has no intention of setting her grievances aside.

The episode keeps returning to the contrast between preparation and exclusion. Kamala and Muna decorate rangoli, light lamps and perform Lakshmi Puja. Ram, meanwhile, tells Ramesh how painful it is to have so many sisters and still face receiving no tika. Viewers' comments repeatedly return to the festival setting and the relationships among Ram, Kamala and Muna. The episode also carries sponsor billboards.

OSR Digital has another unusually fast-starting upload alongside the serial: the official teaser for 36 KO AANKADA. Directed by Shabir Shrestha, the film features Niruta Singh, Rekha Thapa and Pooja Sharma, with its description announcing a December 3 cinema release.
