Digital Doctor opens the closed shop for a laptop emergency
A customer's work computer won't charge, but the diagnosis offers a simpler fix than she feared.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 966,801 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (81,925).
🚨EMERGENCY REPAIR ON MY DAY OFFF!! Are you having a tech problem? We accept mail ins! We have a
A spare charger doesn't help. The customer's HP laptop still won't take a charge, and Digital Doctor's technician needs to look inside before he can explain what's wrong.
He wasn't supposed to be working. The shop is closed when the woman arrives with her laptop and charger, but he lets her in and takes the computer to the bench. The resulting Short has passed a million views, with an opening-day audience nearly twelve times the channel's usual.
The problem turns out to be physical: the plastic inside the charging port is squished and broken, preventing the plug from seating properly. After removing the laptop's bottom shell, he shows her the damaged assembly.
"On the bright side it's like a five minute repair," he tells her. The catch is getting the replacement part, which he needs to order for the next day.
"This is such good news cause all my work is on there," the customer replies. The video ends with a repair ticket and an expected completion time, not a finished repair.
In the comments, viewers keep returning to the contrast between being closed and taking the laptop apart anyway. Others catch the black cat running through the shop near the end, an extra bit of activity on a supposedly quiet day off.

Super kind of you to take care of her instead of asking her to return when the store is open.
@ocean-hummerSee it on YouTubeMy Lenovo laptop actually allows USB-C charging, even though it comes with a DC barrel jack and power brick for that. I've obviously seen USB-C charging, but I hadn't realized both was an option. (I'd rather have 2 USB-C ports personally, but ok)
