Once He Understood This Concept, His Golf Swing Felt Effortless
Things we can learn from the video

- 0:36Side-by-side analysis shows Leo releasing the club early rather than retaining lag into the downswing.
- 1:26A loose-fingered, one-handed drill helps Leo feel the clubhead drop behind his shoulder.
- 5:51Danny transfers the falling-clubhead sensation into real shots, rather than asking Leo to manufacture swing positions.
- 11:37Danny guides Leo's arms and club to reinforce feeling the drop before accelerating.
- 15:18Leo hits repeated shots with smoother rhythm and consistent centre strikes.
Leo is trying hard to hit the ball further, but Danny Maude wants him to do less controlling. In the week's only new upload, the beginner who plays roughly once a month learns to feel the clubhead's weight rather than consciously arrange every part of his swing.
The drill starts with loose fingers and one hand, letting the club drop behind his shoulder as though it were an arrow going into a quiver. Danny then helps Leo carry that falling sensation into actual shots on the simulator. Side-by-side swing comparisons make the early-release problem visible, but the lesson keeps returning to feel.
"Yeah, it's got a lot more power, and I'm not putting in nearly as much effort or control," Leo says. Later, Danny physically guides his arms and club at the top of the backswing, reinforcing the drop before the acceleration. Viewers are discussing that same tension between thinking and sensing: beginners mention overthinking, while others describe practising the whipping sensation at home.
"Once He Understood This Concept, His Golf Swing Felt Effortless" has passed 100,000 views and is Danny's busiest video right now. The older "Use This Effortless Swing Tip To Hit Irons Further" remains active too, having passed a million views with its shorter-backswing approach. His bunker lesson, built around moving a wave of sand beneath the ball, rounds out the busiest trio.
The channel gained about 10,000 subscribers over the week, although daily viewing is currently well below its usual level. Nearby in subscriber size, Harley Beckett and Wolfgang Poker had no subscriber growth over the same week. Danny's audience is expanding while his lesson archive offers several versions of a familiar idea: give the golfer something useful to feel, rather than another position to memorise.

Trying at home. It feels amazing. As a beginner, I’m starting to realize tension and overthinking are the enemies of a good swing. Thanks Danny!

@jimbrown3674See it on YouTubeAnother great vid. I really like it when you do vids with students. I put myself in the students' shoes, so to speak, and I follow along with the things you are teaching.

Really like the focus on the feelings rather than technique, much easier to take feelings to the golf course rather than too many thoughts. I’m not there yet but getting there. 😊
@stevelavelle2301See it on YouTubeAnother excellent vid showing Danny's specialty, effortless swing. I felt this first when I swung my dad's old Hogan PowerThrust irons from 1960, rather heavy irons. I play them routinely now. Thanks Danny.

@matteberry58See it on YouTubeIm flabbergasted! Went to the back yard with a 7 iron and did what you instructed. I can feel the whip effect for the first time in my 50 plus years of playing at golf. Now its a matter of stabalizing the back swing and down swing to incorporate it into my golf swing. Im gob smacked how simple you make this stuff. Thanks a bunch.
