Danny Maude borrows a bowling motion for the golf swing
His only new lesson credits Andy Plummer with an underarm-roll concept for simplifying the downswing.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Once You Learn This Move, The Golf Swing Feels Effortless
A sledgehammer explained leverage in Danny Maude's previous lesson. Now a bowling alley supplies the picture: imagine rolling a ball underarm toward the target, rather than trying to arrange every part of the swing separately.
"Once You Learn This Move, The Golf Swing Feels Effortless" drew roughly 195,000 views after arriving on Saturday. Maude credits the concept to coach Andy Plummer and uses it to address familiar frustrations: coming over the top, inconsistent iron contact and difficulty controlling the clubface. His lesson builds from small swings, with the trail hand helping guide direction, rather than asking golfers to force a collection of positions.
Viewers are comparing that underarm feeling with skipping a stone, and discussing how it changes their understanding of the club's path. Several also mention a less technical takeaway: the bowling-ball sound effect gave their headphones quite a workout. Others describe the familiar gap between understanding a simple idea and keeping it simple when standing over the ball.
The new upload has the strongest daily momentum on the channel. The preceding leverage lesson remains active, as does September's "Use This Effortless Swing Tip To Hit Irons Further," which focuses on getting distance from a shorter backswing.
Overall, the channel added about 814,000 views while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is below its usual level. Nearby golf-teaching channel Meandmygolf also had an unchanged subscriber count and a slightly smaller weekly viewing gain. For Maude, this week's fresh contribution is another everyday motion pressed into service on the practice ground.

What viewers say
Great distinction between skipping a rock vs the underhand throw/roll. Definitely changes the path and loading of the trail shoulder.
@MenalcasPowellSee it on YouTubeDanny, you say our bodies are smart. Mine is more of a C student who skips class and is still deciding whether to come over the top. The bowling concept is the first thing in a while simple enough for it to pass. Will give this concept a try and thanks as always!!

What I notice in this video, and in Danny’s others, is the connection between the arms and the torso. Everything moves harmoniously.
@berns77-h2iSee it on YouTubeI really like how you explain things so it's easy to understand what you 're talking about. You never over complicate it, you keep it simple. I just wish my brain could do that when I step up to the ball, it over complicates it. I need to stop thinking and just hit the ball. Which is easier said than done.
@WildElroy13See it on YouTubeI've been working really hard through my entire bag this year, and these videos have been a fantastic help. Even my driver is starting to become reliable, if shorter than I'd like. Today though, I had the sort of session where you want to throw everything out of the window and never tough a club again! Still looking forward to next week when I can do it all again! Such is golf.
@The_BlackshieldSee it on YouTubeI figured this out on my own about 2 months ago. Like a lightbulb came on. Been playing on and off for 20 years, always rotating and over the top. Where were these vids 20 years ago 😂. Great explanation as always! Really makes a difference on short pitches too when you understand to just make a toss with the back hand like you're tossing a ball at the hole.
@pitbikerejectsSee it on YouTubeI went straight to the golf club, and the trial in the nets was impressive. Tomorrow I will play in a club competition to ensure the technique sticks.
