Chuckwagon manners and Hollywood memories with Cowboy Kent Rollins
Seven uploads bring camp etiquette, a Jackie Chan story and a St. Louis diner breakfast to Kent's table.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The St. Louis Slinger! The Ultimate Diner Breakfast
Never dust the cook. Cowboy Kent Rollins' newest upload turns the unwritten rules of chuckwagon dining into a lesson in camp etiquette, including the cook's considerable authority and which customs might belong at your own table.
That invitation to the ranch rounds out a week that went well beyond recipes. On Cowboy Coffee Hour, Kent recounts surprising Jackie Chan and reflects on memorable encounters involving names including Matthew McConaughey and Stanley Tucci. These are stories about meeting them, not a celebrity guest lineup.
The week's most-watched upload, though, belongs to the griddle. "The St. Louis Slinger! The Ultimate Diner Breakfast" has reached roughly 328,000 views. Kent builds the diner classic from hash browns, a cheeseburger patty, chili and fried eggs, giving canned no-beans chili extra character with chipotle, ancho powder and Mexican oregano.
Underneath it, viewers are supplying their own diner history: late-night St. Louis meals, familiar chili parlors and, in one particularly vivid recollection, a first Slinger during a job-interview trip that helped seal the decision to move there.
Beef stroganoff for the Nash family in Montana and an all-purpose frying batter also joined the menu. Across the channel, viewing added more than five million views over the week, while subscribers grew. Among nearby food channels, Biggroove had an especially large week; SAM THE COOKING GUY was quieter.
Kent's strongest daily draw remains October's open-fire beef stew, now approaching two million views. The new camp rules may govern dinner, but that Dutch oven is keeping plenty of people occupied.

I had my first Slinger in St. Louis, on a job interview trip in 1978. That was the closer, I took the Job! This breakfast was GREAT!. I lived in St Louis from 1979 to 1992 And had a Slinger at least once a week! I am too GLAD you resurrected this dish. I am making it for breakfast tomorrow!

Way back in 1980 my roommate worked at Wendy's. He worked the closing shift and would bring home chili and french fries several times a week. Turning Friday's french fries into breakfast fries on Saturday morning with a couple of fried eggs and chili was a common occurance.
