The roll cage comes out. After collecting his heavily modified Porsche 911 Turbo, Calvin has the rear seats reinstalled, giving an extravagant performance car a little more everyday usefulness.
That combination runs through the week's most-watched new upload. Calvin meets private seller Chris after buying the ESMOTOR-tuned car through Collecting Cars, inspecting everything from the methanol injection system in the front boot to the updated steering wheel. On the road, he considers its quieter everyday character before switching into Sport Plus and discovering quite how different it can feel.
The purchase price is £72,000, agreed below the auction reserve. The journey home supplies an unplanned extra: a stone cracks the windscreen. The video also contains a sponsored vehicle-history-check segment.
Alongside the Porsche, Calvin posted a trip to buy a BMW E46 M3 in Croydon. Both found substantial audiences, but the Porsche had the stronger first day and has reached roughly 175,000 views. It is also the channel's busiest video right now, with the M3 and October's vandalised Range Rover SVR purchase next among the uploads drawing daily views.
Subscribers grew over the week, although the channel's current daily viewing is little more than half its usual level. Among similarly sized motoring channels, Oakland Auto Detail had a particularly substantial week, while STRAD was quieter.
Under the Porsche video, several viewers draw a useful distinction between presenting cars and simply selling one: appearing on camera is not everyone's day job. Others focus on the paperwork and service history involved in buying something this extensively modified, a very Calvin's Car Diary concern beneath all that power.

What viewers say
Buying a 1000 bhp car from a private seller takes nerve. Paperwork and service history are everything at that level. Great to see the whole process.
