What does Jennifer Lawrence do online when nobody knows it is her? She argues about history. On Call Her Daddy, she tells Alex Cooper that she keeps an anonymous TikTok account mainly to bait commenters into debates, then decides: "It's about time I just take the mask off."
That is one of many detours in "Jennifer Lawrence: Hunger Games, Hot Takes & Online Hate," an hour-long conversation that passed three quarters of a million views before its first day was out, more than twenty times the show's usual start for a full episode. It arrives at the end of a week the channel had largely given to Sophia Bush, whose episode came out in daily clips. The newest of those, about realizing her feelings for Ashlyn, is also running well ahead of the channel's usual Short.
Hunger Games fans get the most. Lawrence says director Gary Ross cried while she auditioned: "He cried in my audition. So, I was like, that seems like a good sign." She ate candy beforehand and accidentally punched out a window on her first day of filming. Her harshest review came from her mother at the premiere. Then comes the confession: "I was Team Gale."
The career talk moves on to dance rehearsals with Bradley Cooper for Silver Linings Playbook. She also describes the eight-hour body-paint routine for Mystique in the X-Men films, which she answered by cutting her hair into a pixie in protest. Before any of that, she was a 14-year-old scouted in New York who told friends back in Kentucky she had a wooden leg.
The later stretch is more personal. Lawrence speaks openly about postpartum anxiety and the mom groups that helped her through it, and passes some advice to Cooper, who is expecting: "Don't worry that your kid is, like, bored." She also introduces Mess, her new hair care line, and explains why she has no reason to call the paparazzi on herself.
The comments keep returning to the balance. Many ask why Vanderpump Rules, The Hills and Summer House get more time than her films, and several want to hear more about the explosions and fireballs on set that she mentions only in passing. Others write about what Katniss meant to them when they were girls.

@xxdollxxdiamondSee it on YouTubeLoved this interview. I would just like to say Jennifer playing Katniss was very much needed for us young girls to see on screen. What a feminist, brave and head strong woman Katniss was and at the time that was demonized so thank you for that 🙌🏾💕😭
