Caked by Rach balances a swinging ghost on a cupcake

A paper liner becomes a candy-shell topper in Rachel Lindsay's only new upload of the week.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Rachel Lindsay gives a cupcake liner a job beyond holding cake: it becomes the mould for a little white ghost, complete with punched-out eyes and a jagged hem.

In Caked by Rach's new Short, she coats the paper with white candy melts, adds dark pupils and peels the liner away once the shell has set. A swirl of black buttercream and a small stick provide the support. Perched on top, the ghost wobbles with a nudge, turning a simple decoration into something with a little movement of its own.

It was the channel's only upload this week and has gathered about 111,000 views. Among the comments, one viewer asks for the buttercream recipe, a practical question beneath all that tiny-ghost engineering.

The wider channel added roughly 1.3 million views over the week, while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is currently well below its usual level. Nearby food channels had quite different weeks: 1 Hour Lunch Break drew a much larger weekly audience, while brutalmoose and Dina Kalanta Official. were quieter than Caked by Rach.

The archive's busiest videos currently keep the spooky decorating theme going. Spider cupcakes are drawing the most daily views, followed by a witch design made for Wilton and the gruesome-looking "CutCake" tutorial. That last illusion uses chilled buttercream, strawberry sauce, chocolate stitches and fondant maggots: rather more unsettling than a ghost with a gentle swing.
