Sign in with GitHub, skip the card: Darko Mesaros' AWS shortcut
The channel's one new video tours a simpler sign-up that lands newcomers in a ready project with $100 in free credits.

Getting Started on AWS Just Got Easier
How hard is it to start building on AWS these days? According to the one new video on AWS Developers, a lot less hard than it used to be. In "Getting Started on AWS Just Got Easier," Darko Mesaros walks through the new sign-up: log in with Google, GitHub or Apple, land in a project that is already set up, and, for most new customers, skip the credit card entirely. The description adds $100 in free credits and a single prompt you paste into your coding agent to connect it to your AWS environment.
Ten hours in, it had a couple of thousand views, a gentle start, but already the busiest thing on the channel by a wide margin. Behind it sit two agent videos from the week before. One builds a guard around Jev, the fast new classifier model, so it can catch a bad tool call before it runs, with a weather agent as the test case. The other introduces Strands harness, billed as reaching top agent performance at 28% lower token cost, and puts it to work as a documentation bot inside GitHub Actions.
Across the whole channel, daily views are running somewhat above their usual level, and the subscriber count held steady.
Among the technology company channels around it, the big stretches belong to Android, Low Level and Tina Huang, each drawing several times their normal daily views, while Microsoft is also a little busier than usual. Android Developers, the nearest thing to a sibling here, is running quieter than usual.
