A day after it first broke away, Joe Burrow's short film on Google Chrome's channel did not settle back down. It sped up. "Unfinished Projects by Chrome: Joe Burrow’s Chess Set" has now passed five million views, and its latest day brought in about eighteen times what the video usually gathers.

The audience is big but quiet. All those views have left only a couple of hundred likes and a handful of comments, the same hushed pattern as the other films in the series. Elsewhere among the large technology channels, from Fireship to Google for Developers, it was a slower stretch than normal.

The film belongs to Chrome's Unfinished Projects series, short portraits of well-known people working on something still in progress. Burrow's project is a chess set of his own design, a quieter pursuit than the one that made him famous. He won the Heisman Trophy at LSU in 2019, and the Cincinnati Bengals took him with the first pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He is not the only one drawing attention in the series. The films about PinkPantheress's ballet flats and Solange's sculpture are climbing too, and the chess set is keeping pace with both.
