Three Unfinished Projects films, three million-a-day clips for Google Chrome

PinkPantheress's ballet flats, Joe Burrow's chess set and Solange's sculpture are each drawing about a million views a day, while the week's five new uploads are mostly Gemini study tips.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Ten days after they went up together, the three Unfinished Projects films are still carrying Google Chrome's channel, and they are doing it almost in step. PinkPantheress's ballet flats, Joe Burrow's chess set and Solange's public sculpture are each drawing roughly a million views a day. Together that puts the channel at several times its usual daily pace.

The premise is simple: a figure from music, sport or art has a side project, and Chrome helps along the way. PinkPantheress goes looking for references in early-2000s British fashion for a pair of customizable flats she can wear from home to stage. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback wants a chess set built around the crystals and minerals he has been reading up on, billed as a playable work of art. Solange's project is the longest-running of the three: a public sculpture seven years in the making, researched, the description says, in 200 open tabs.

The five new uploads are a different kind of video. Four of them are short guides to Gemini in Chrome for students, from quizzes for study sessions to summarizing media, and one features Jacob Bank, VP of Product, walking through three learning features. They have stayed in the low thousands. The one outlier is a short cut from Burrow's film, his line about a work of art you can play with, which has drawn more views than any of the tutorials.

Among similar tech channels, Tina Huang and Fireship are also well above their usual pace, but none of them is as far above it as Chrome is with its three short films.
