It went up on Google Chrome's channel on September 21, and it was already the brand's busiest video. Nine days in, it is not slowing down. It is speeding up.

The film has passed four and a half million views, and it is now gathering about nineteen times what it usually draws in a day. The audience is a quiet one, though. Likes number in the hundreds and comments in the low dozens, a small trace for a crowd that size.

The series is Chrome's collection of personal side projects. Joe Burrow's chess set and Solange's sculpture are in it too. PinkPantheress fits the idea of a maker with a side project. The British artist first drew attention with song snippets that were famously short, and later reached a far bigger audience with "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2." Other tech channels are mostly running below their usual pace, Fireship and Google for Developers among them. For now, her shoes are doing Chrome's heavy lifting.
