Nick DiGiovanni posted "1 Second vs 1 Hour Chicken" on September 11, and nineteen days later it has passed 100 million views. Three days ago it was still the video leading his channel. Now it has a nine-figure total to show for it.

The climb has eased a little. The video is gathering views somewhat more slowly than its usual pace, and the channel as a whole is running a touch under its normal day. Several cooking channels around him are in the same soft patch. Max the Meat Guy's, for one, is drawing about a third of its usual daily views.

The title sets up the whole idea: chicken made in a single second against chicken given a full hour. It sits comfortably beside the channel's other extreme-contrast videos, such as "$1 vs $100,000 Knife." The response is lopsided in an interesting way. About 1.3 million people have liked it, yet the comment section has only a few thousand entries. Plenty of viewers are watching, and few are talking back.
