Past 1.18 billion lifetime views, Ian Fujimoto spent his week the way the channel usually goes: short, wry kitchen clips with a grievance in the title. The grievance this time is his doctor, who apparently disapproves of Hot Pockets, so dinner became mapo tofu instead. Tagged for new dads and Chinese takeout, the short passed a million views within five days and is still the busiest thing he has.
The other upload is a different animal. "The Secret to Every Chick-fil-A Sauce" runs past twenty minutes, with chapters for each sauce from Sweet & Spicy Sriracha to the signature one, and a promise to say which are actually worth making at home. It had a gentler start, which is more or less what long recipe videos get on a channel built on shorts.
Older clips are still working behind them. The LA Galbi short, billed as the perfect post-labor snack, is past three million views at four weeks, and a spicy tuna donburi from twelve days ago has gone past it in total. Among the cooking channels around him, Tasting History with Max Miller is the one running well above its usual pace.
