"Here is your ballot. It is double-sided." A poll worker's practical instruction supplies the soundtrack to Associated Press's voting-day livestream, where the election unfolds through check-in tables and private booths rather than campaign speeches.
"Election 2026: LIVE voting across the US" drew about 1.2 million views since yesterday. Separate from the AP results broadcast we reported here, this feed shows the work that comes before the count: voters arriving, election workers checking registrations and people waiting their turn.
The screen places New York, New Hampshire and Arizona polling locations alongside a Senate election graphic. In New Hampshire, a worker asks voters to check that their information is correct. Outside the Arizona venue, people chat in line as others arrive on foot and by vehicle. In New York, voters fill out paper ballots inside booths.
Democrats sought to reclaim both chambers of Congress, while Republicans sought to retain control. But there is no host interpreting each movement at these polling places. The sound comes from the room itself, including workers guiding voters through the next step.
