That projection gives a new focus to Sky's Washington-based election marathon, "US midterms 2026 | Full coverage, results and analysis". The broadcast drew about 148,000 views in its first six hours, already several times the channel's usual full-day audience for long broadcasts.

Sky built its overnight coverage around NBC's exit polls and vote-counting results, with control of both chambers at stake. Its follow-up reporting now examines how a Democratic House majority could make it harder for Donald Trump to pass his legislative agenda. The House projection does not, by itself, settle control of the Senate.
