A putting lesson nears a million as Alex Elliott hits the range for distance
His fifteen-day-old promise that one watch replaces every putting lesson sits just short of a million views, while a new daily drill for longer irons led seven uploads.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Do This Every Day to Hit the Golf Ball Farther (GOES FOR MILES)
Distance, then spin. Alex Elliott, the PGA coach whose channel promises golf made simple, spent most of his seven uploads on how to make the ball go farther: ball position, a compression hack, a setup check, and the one that drew the crowd, "Do This Every Day to Hit the Golf Ball Farther (GOES FOR MILES)."
That drill is built around the follow-through and a 7-iron, and it passed 90,000 views in three days. Its comment section reads like a range session: one viewer had the same fix from their own coach the week before, another says it explains why a punch shot feels effortless, and someone wonders whether Tommy Fleetwood built his swing on a similar punch-shot drill. There is also a careful question about moving the ball forward with new Srixon irons, the kind of thing a coach's channel attracts.
The newest upload changes clubs. "How to Spin Your Wedges" goes after the link between equipment and technique that, the title says, nobody explains, and in its first nine hours it was already gathering views almost as fast as the distance drill.
Behind both sits the putting lesson from two weeks ago, "Watch This Once and You'll Never Need Another Putting Lesson!", about how far the putter should move for each length of putt. It is a whisker from a million views.
The channel as a whole ran a little slower than usual and held at 412,000 subscribers. Among the sports channels near its size, TNT Sports Cycling and the AFL had the busiest weeks, with H.I.T GOLF also ahead; Alex came next, with a far livelier week than Super Rugby Pacific or GOLF LIFE.

@petersmith9470See it on YouTubeDidn't Tommy Fleetwood with his golf coach use the Punch Shot as a drill then he just adapted it for his swing. A very effective way to hit. Thank you Alex for being us along 🙏😊😉

Great drill!
@ianhorlacher3669See it on YouTubeSimple enough to actually do every day — that's what makes this one work. Most drills die by day three.
