0:12Ace returns to a river he has not fished in years, with about three hours to explore.
1:06He starts with a small brown rooster tail lure and wades into the cold current.
5:51A switch to a jerkbait lets him cast farther across the river.
13:01After dark, he visits a town pond to look for frogs to add to his meal.
16:47The next morning, he sets up a portable cooking station beside a lake.

Ace Videos left the fishing calendar clear, with no new uploads this week. The channel nevertheless added roughly 52,000 views, while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is close to its usual level: a quieter picture than nearby outdoor channels such as Dan Hurd and MyLifeOutdoors, each of which collected more than a million views over the week.

The most active upload is "Combo Rainbow Trout and Frog Catch n' Cook!", posted more than a month ago. Its small practical mishaps give the outing its character. Ace releases his first rainbow trout because he has forgotten his fish bag, changes lures to reach farther across the river, and later heads to a town pond to supplement dinner with a bullfrog. By morning, a piece of driftwood serves as his cutting board beside the lake.

That video has passed 230,000 views and is adding views considerably faster than the other active uploads. But the archive offers more than a solo river trip. In "Catch n' Cook Flounder and Speckled Trout in Bacon!", Ace fishes shallow bay docks with his dad before cooking their catch with bacon. The older "SPICY Rainbow Trout and Bass Catch n' Cook on a River!" also remains active, combining a favorite trout river, bass and a bird rescue.

Ace describes fishing as his passion and filming and editing as his hobby, brought together on the channel in 2016. This week's viewing came from outings already in that collection, rather than another trip added to it.
