- 1:13Josh Deane clarifies that Destiny's development plan does not depend on Marathon's success.
- 2:10A circulating fan roadmap includes updates and a potential Destiny 3 that Bungie has not confirmed.
- 3:15Unvaulting production is planned for February 2027; the displayed roadmap leaves the release date undetermined.
- 7:11Planned returning content includes campaigns, strikes and Menagerie, with Escalation Protocol discussed as a potential stretch goal.
- 12:34xHOUNDISHx argues that a long wait with a development plan is preferable to an end of service.
Getting old Destiny 2 content back sounds straightforward until the timetable enters the conversation. xHOUNDISHx spent much of his nine-upload week separating Bungie's commitments from community wish lists, with the wait itself becoming a recurring subject.
The most watched new upload, "Bungie Admits Mistakes & D2 Players Highlight Content Concerns (MUCH Better Than EOS)", reached roughly 48,000 views. It tackles a particularly important distinction through Bungie's Josh Deane: "In no way is the Destiny plan contingent upon Marathon." xHOUNDISHx also picks apart an unofficial roadmap, making clear that its projected updates and potential Destiny 3 are not Bungie confirmations.
There is a substantial wait attached to the actual unvaulting work. The video reviews production planned for February 2027 and discusses a possible release around 2028, while Bungie's displayed roadmap leaves release timing undetermined. His conclusion is pragmatic: a development plan is preferable to the game ending.
Viewers have a more specific scheduling suggestion. Several ask for restored campaigns and activities to arrive piece by piece rather than in one large release. That gives the week's Menagerie revisit a useful companion role: it looks back at the activity's mechanics and rewards, and ahead to its planned return with updated loot.
The newest uploads now carry the strongest momentum, particularly "Bungie Confirmed THIS is Coming Back to Destiny 2.." and "Destiny 2 Players Are ANGRY About This.. (Bungie Drama & Frustrations)". Daily views are running above the channel's usual level, though subscribers stayed unchanged across the week. Among nearby gaming channels, HisWattson is also above his usual daily viewing, while IceManIsaac and BennyCentral are quieter than normal. For xHOUNDISHx, the active conversation is less about discovering another promise than understanding what the existing ones mean.

I would much rather see the unvaulting happen OVER a year than IN a year
@jackmorgan3004See it on YouTubeI almost feel like it might be better to drop content piece by piece to get something out faster because otherwise it feels so far away and I don’t know what the community will do between now and then. Or how we will feel, for that matter.
@fptheghostSee it on YouTubeI’m not interested in Marathon, but that doesn’t mean that I hate it… waiting for more Destiny content and understanding it will take time. I’m just glad more is to come!

What I am really hoping for is that, when they have an unvaulyed campaign ready (Like, Red War being finished, but the rest not being ready yet) that they release it over time, rather than all at once. I feel like that will gain more traction than waiting a year to release all of the unvaulted content at once.
@Zephyr-HawthornSee it on YouTubeI quit during the Original Vaulting. I have come back during the first wave of “Is it back?” A few weeks ago.
I have talked about 20 people into going back and playing again. We have done raids, learned raids and caught almost fully up. 😊@IchorusGamesSee it on YouTubeAs someone who dropped out of D2 in 2019 and just came back, I’m in no rush for new content. This is an entirely different game than what I left. Tons to do, and no more FOMO or racing for power level.
@JGroveSTGSee it on YouTubeI'd love to see all of the content rolled out over time, cuz there's A LOT of it. If they could roll out all or a big chunk on the span of, say the same amount of time as a season lasted, that might be a great way to roll it out
