'The Chips are ALWAYS Going In Here': a second king, a player named Gus and some memorable glasses
The World Poker Tour's newest short is an all-in from the Mike Sexton era, and its comment section is busy replaying the board card by card.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 184,239 views a day, 20 times a normal first day on this channel (9,041).

An old hand, a new audience. In "The Chips are ALWAYS Going In Here 👀", the World Poker Tour reaches back into its television archive for an all-in, and fifteen hours later the short had passed 140,000 views. A new short on the channel usually ends its first day at around 9,000.
The title does not say who is at the table, but the comments do much of the work. Viewers name a player called Gus, joke that he has plot armor, and spend a surprising amount of time on another player's eyewear, the clip's running joke. Several mention Mike Sexton in the booth and miss the days of big personalities at the felt.
The rest of the talk is about the cards. A second king on the turn decides a lot, and some viewers point out that a queen on the river would have been crueler still. One asks why the commentators left a flush out of the list of outs. A losing seven-eight gets little sympathy.
The comments have come in roughly five times faster than on a usual first day. The short also joins a busy run of Doyle Brunson clips earlier in the week: his "Poker Wisdom" short, as we reported here, is close to 400,000 views, and "Poker LEGEND Doyle Brunson is ALL IN" has passed half a million.

The numbers
For a channel whose shorts usually open in the thousands, this one started in a different league, and the Brunson clips are still carrying the week.
