Pop-up balls bring "Zovember" to We Got Ice

Seven uploads take the channel from a tabletop target to warehouse mini games and Wii Sports.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

First To Make The Shot Wins!First To Make The Shot Wins!

The blue disc nearly drops into the hole, then rolls away. The orange one pops into a ball and bounces straight in. That is enough to settle "First To Make The Shot Wins!", We Got Ice's most-watched new upload of the week, with roughly 258,000 views.

"This is like a sport from a different universe," says the player in gray after his attempt. The comments have their own name for the occasion: Zovember. Viewers repeat the running joke, give it a mock movie-release announcement and ask for that form to carry into the longer videos.

There was plenty of room for small games elsewhere in the seven-upload week. "The Ultimate Warehouse Mini Games Battle!" promises nine miniature games, while "Playing Every Wii Sport The Right Way" returns to a subject already drawing attention in the channel's longer videos. The previous week's "We Played Every Wii Sport the Way it was Meant to be Played" uses real equipment to act out the games, and remains among the channel's strongest daily draws. Only the newer "Greatest Shot Ever??" is currently adding views faster.

Across the channel, the week brought about 3.8 million views and a modest subscriber gain. Daily viewing is now around a third of its usual pace. Among nearby sports creators, We Got Ice sits in the middle for weekly views; The Deep 3 had a much larger viewing week, while Kenny For Real was quieter.

Baseball may be the channel's stated specialty, but this week the equipment cupboard had room for a game that briefly forgets whether its ball is a disc.
