Can the president be wrong? The Post's FDA hearing draws a crowd

Heidi Overton's confirmation grilling passed a hundred thousand views in a fifteen-upload week that also covered Hannah Einbinder and Susan Sarandon's detention outside the U.N.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Fifteen uploads went out on the Washington Post channel, and the one people kept returning to was a Senate hearing. Senators pressed Heidi Overton, President Trump's pick to run the Food and Drug Administration, on whether she would push back if the president asked for something she disagreed with. One question became the title, and the video became the week's biggest total, past 100,000 views.

The quickest start belonged to a different kind of story. Hannah Einbinder, of HBO's Hacks, and Susan Sarandon, an Oscar winner for Dead Man Walking, were detained near U.N. Headquarters while protesting Benjamin Netanyahu. That clip roared through its first day and then went quiet almost as fast.

The lighter pieces had their audience too. A penny-farthing race through London, run on bicycle designs 150 years old, did respectable business. So did Carolyn Hax taking on a letter about a moody future daughter-in-law. The video with the most momentum right now is two days old: tourists slowly returning to Palmyra, where a local official says excavation could be years away. A new report on Pope Leo XIV's four-day trip to France is picking up just behind it.

The subscriber count held still. Among news broadcasters of similar size, the Post sits second, just behind CBN News, and ABC News In-depth is the one running above its usual pace.
