RAF Fairford arrests give TalkTV a second standout in two days

A day after the Sussexes gave TalkTV a flying start, a very different story has done it again. A segment on the arrests near RAF Fairford passed two hundred thousand views within a day, opening at about twelve times the pace a new video on the channel usually manages.
The story is a serious one. According to the description, five men in their 20s from London were arrested on suspicion of terror offences near the base, and police say all five are UK nationals. The title adds that they have been released on bail. Questions remain over what was allegedly planned and how the authorities learned of it. A farmer who called 999 after seeing masked men says she may have helped stop the suspected plot. RAF Fairford, in Gloucestershire, has long hosted US Air Force bombers and is home to the Royal International Air Tattoo.

The comment count is running at well over half the number of likes, a sign of a talking point more than a quick click, and the whole channel is having a busier day than usual.
