Disney's silence on Jimmy Kimmel opens Trish Regan's Friday show

The episode also covers David Ellison's Skydance deal for Warner Bros. Discovery, the Cornell case and Zohran Mamdani's definition of socialism.

"Jimmy Kimmel OUT At ABC…Disney Boss ADMITS He's CANCELLED?! REFUSES To Say ABC Renewing Contract" is the newest full show on Trish Regan's channel, and it passed 60,000 views within nine hours. The former Fox Business anchor, who now hosts her own weekday show live, builds the episode around one remark: according to her description, Disney's top content executive sounded a pessimistic note about the future of Kimmel's late-night program. Regan reads that as a goodbye. The chapters then go much further, from the FCC to the merger she says will put Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery under the Skydance name. After that come Letitia James and the Cornell case, a judge's ruling on Zohran Mamdani's tax plan, and a closing segment called "France is Burning."

Media business turned out to be the theme of her Friday. A CNN video asks whether the network's business model is stuck in the 1980s, and a Netflix episode, billed as a story of falling stock and mass cancellations, compares the streamer to Blockbuster. Together with the Kimmel show, those were the three uploads drawing the most daily views on the channel. In all, she posted fifteen videos over the week.

The channel took in more than 16 million views in seven days, the most of any political commentary channel near its size, and its daily views are running above their usual level. Around her, Really American is having an unusually big week, and Jesse Dollemore and Pod Save America are also well above their usual pace. The Ring of Fire is quieter than usual.
