- 1:04Mark argues that Toei's adaptations emphasise different character traits from Toriyama's manga.
- 3:01Goku's frustration with borrowed strength helps explain his response to the Super Saiyan God transformation.
- 7:22Mark reads Vegeta's heroic sacrifice and comic humiliation as different ways of putting family before himself.
- 13:52He cites production notes describing Toriyama's intervention to turn the Bingo scene into a life-or-death gag.
- 15:45Mark argues that removing the scene sacrifices character growth for a more familiar version of Vegeta.
Better animation is only part of the bargain for Mark Fitzpatrick. His two uploads this week return to Dragon Ball Super: Beerus with a more interesting question: what should a remaster preserve when it changes the original?
"Toei DELETED Toriyama's Vegeta" drew the larger audience, reaching about 420,000 views. Mark uses the missing takoyaki moment and its Bingo Dance origins to examine how adaptations shape a character. His argument is that Vegeta making a fool of himself to protect his family belongs alongside his more conventionally heroic sacrifices, rather than contradicting them.
The comments add a useful complication. Several viewers connect the removal to cuts elsewhere in the episode: without the other characters provoking Beerus, Vegeta has less reason to keep him entertained. Others distinguish the film's gag from the television version, suggesting there was room to trim without removing it altogether.
The second upload, "It's HERE! The Remastered Super Saiyan God Transformation!", moves into the ritual itself, Oolong's rock-paper-scissors encounter and new CGI work involving Shenron. It currently attracts the most daily views on the channel. The earlier "THEY DID IT! They FIXED Goku vs Beerus!" also remains among its busiest uploads, having passed a million views.
Across the week, viewing brought a substantial audience while subscribers held steady. Daily views are now close to twice their usual level. Nearby, ZachTheBold is having a particularly big week; Totally Not Mark's own activity remains firmly centred on the choices inside this Dragon Ball reworking.

@justdave9716See it on YouTubePersonally, I like that they toned it down, but I don't think they should have removed it completely. That's it.

@curt227See it on YouTubeThe Bingo scene didn't happen because of the fact that the Pilaf Gang's involvement is minimal.
