Gadsdon offers sherry and brandy after Augustus's disturbing experience, but his answer to a question about loyalty is less comforting: he is attached to the house, rather than its master.

That is the sort of hospitality awaiting the players in "Chapter Two: Parlor Tricks | Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate | Call of Cthulhu", Geek & Sundry's most-watched new upload of the week, with roughly 38,000 views. Around an ornate table in period costume, Paula Deming, Noura Ibrahim and Oscar Montoya play the Montgomery triplets, with Nicole Maines as antiquities dealer Kitty Larke and Ross Bryant presiding as Keeper of Arcane Lore.

The unsettling details arrive early. A painting prompts a history roll, and Deming spends luck points to identify Orpheus and Eurydice. Augustus's story takes a stranger turn through a submerged forest. Meanwhile, the players find time to joke about the eerie butler. Viewers are picking out Bryant's quietly threatening response to a failed roll, his reaction to séance talk and the spooky details the players contribute themselves.

Across seven uploads, the episode also gained a companion discussion, "How to Fail Successfully | Inside Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate Ep 2 | Quests N Answers". It gives the cast room to unpack failure and their Regency-horror balancing act.

Subscribers held steady, while daily viewing is running at about half the channel's usual pace. Nearby tabletop channel Legends of Avantris had a growing week; Critical Role's daily viewing was also below its usual level.

Darkling Gate supplies Geek & Sundry's strongest momentum right now: the Ross-scaring-you Short is its busiest upload, while the opening chapter continues gathering viewers and has passed 114,000 views.
