Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Welcome to Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate. Jane Austen and Lovecraft collide beginning October 19th

Geek & Sundry has sent out an invitation with a distinctly unsettling premise: Regency society, meet Call of Cthulhu. Its two uploads this week introduce Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate, an actual-play series described as a collision between Jane Austen and H.P. Lovecraft.

The announcement names Paula Deming, Noura Ibrahim, Nicole Maines and Oscar Montoya as the players, with Ross Bryant serving as Keeper of Arcane Lore. Maines brings a familiar face for Supergirl viewers, who know her as Nia Nal, also known as Dreamer. Here, the ensemble is gathering for tabletop horror rather than superhero television.

The welcome video drew roughly 9,500 views, making it the week's most-watched new upload. The later cast introduction is drawing views more quickly now. Beneath the announcement, viewers are picking out Deming and Bryant, asking about Bryant's connection to the channel and welcoming the Regency RPG premise. One also slips in a request for another goblin season.

Across the channel, daily viewing is close to its usual level, with about half a million views added over seven days and the subscriber count unchanged. Fellow tabletop channel Legends of Avantris had a much larger week and added subscribers, while Critical Role's daily viewing is running below its usual pace.

Darkling Gate now occupies the first two places among Geek & Sundry's fastest-moving uploads. The older Magic-themed Second Breakfast clip remains in that mix, giving the channel's table room for both hobbit appetites and considerably less comforting dinner guests.
