Dick Richards has barely finished telling PC gamers they cannot have PlayStation's single-player games when his phone starts undoing the announcement. First come reports of unauthorized PC ports. Then a jailbreak. His proposed fix barely survives another phone call.

This is The Warp Zone's staged corporate satire, with Richards playing a fictional PlayStation vice president, not a real announcement about Sony's plans or a verified account of hacking breakthroughs. The Short has drawn about 190,000 views in ten hours, far ahead of the channel's usual start.

The wish list arriving down the phone includes Bloodborne on PC, complete with smoother performance and multiplayer support, alongside God of War, Uncharted and other PlayStation titles. Richards orders a firmware patch, only to hear that AI reverse-engineering tools have helped hackers crack that too.

"We're supposed to be the ones exploiting AI, not them!" he protests. His eventual response is a hurried corporate conversion: PlayStation is suddenly against the technology that has stopped working in its favor.

The comments are already more than nine times as numerous as on a usual full first day. Viewers are discussing digital ownership and the reversal of AI being used against a company, while others point to Richards' unusually unsuccessful outing. One smaller thread picks up on laughter apparently audible during his tirade: the executive is losing his composure, and possibly testing everyone else's too.
