A seven-hour Salt Lake delay opens MrMobile's 2026-27 travel bag
Michael Fisher's first tech-bag video in almost two years runs from SLC to the Snapdragon Summit on Maui and a San Francisco layover.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The Tech That Takes Me: What's In MrMobile's Bag? (2026-27)
Michael Fisher got stuck. A seven-hour delay at Salt Lake City International Airport, on his way to Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit, is where "The Tech That Takes Me: What's In MrMobile's Bag? (2026-27)" begins, and the description admits the idea came to him somewhere between waves of existential dread. It is the first of these travel-kit videos in almost two years, and his only upload of the week.
The bag is a phone reviewer's bag: a Galaxy Fold8, a Razr Ultra and an iPhone 18 Pro, a drawer's worth of earbuds, folding keyboards he calls a "pocket laptop," and a few odder items. The one viewers talk about most is a factory service remote he carries to switch off motion smoothing on hotel TVs. Some commenters admit they will think about it every time they check in, others remember the infrared blasters phones used to have, and plenty point to the earbuds riding an escalator rail and to the ending.
It passed 200,000 views in three days, well over a hundred thousand of them on day one, and it lifted the whole channel far above its usual daily pace. Behind it, the summer review of Sidephone, a de-Googled candybar phone with swappable keypads, is still finding readers two months on.
Among gadget channels of similar size, the louder weeks belong to Parker Burton and ETA PRIME, while MrMobile's subscriber count held steady at about 1.28 million.
