A HomePad, a code leak and an October 13 event on Max Tech's radar

Six uploads circled Apple's next moves, from an OLED MacBook Pro to an iPad mini 8, and the leak video that opened the week passed 360,000 views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Max Tech, the Apple-focused channel run by Max Yuryev, spent the week reading Apple's tea leaves out loud. Five of the six uploads are about what Cupertino has not announced yet, and the sixth puts Sonos' Ace Ultra headphones against AirPods Max (with thanks to Sonos for sending them over).

The biggest of the batch is "Apple Screwed up.. AGAIN!", a walk through a code leak said to reveal five products: an iPad mini 8, a new Apple TV 4K, a second HomePod mini, an iPad 12 and a bigger HomePod. The most liked comment under it doubts the word "screwed" and suggests Apple leaks on purpose, a joke a good part of the comment section seems to share. Others are there for one product only: a 120Hz Apple TV, a console-style Apple TV with a Pro chip, a faster screen on the iPad mini. One sharp-eyed viewer also corrected the math on a RAM upgrade, 33 percent, not 50.

The freshest video is the one moving now. "Apple October Event - Everything just LEAKED.." points to a possible October 13 event and a smart-home screen the video calls the HomePad, and in under two days it is drawing far more views a day than anything else on the channel. Close behind sits a look at the OLED MacBook Pro, touch screen and 5G included, with a whole chapter spent on what Apple should name it.

The channel ran well above its usual daily views and ended the week with about 1.7 million. Among tech channels of its size, Parker Burton and The Studio are having the loudest weeks, while Max Tech sits comfortably in the middle of the pack.
