A 15-inch tablet, a bacon intro and Tech Spurt's Tab S12 Ultra verdict

Chris Barraclough spent a week using Samsung's biggest tablet as his own, and owners of older Ultras filled the comments explaining why they are keeping theirs.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

"Most Epic Tablet of 2026! | Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Review" is the week's most watched upload on Tech Spurt, the channel of UK journalist Chris Barraclough, and it opens with a chapter simply called "Pork." At least one viewer noticed: it was the first tablet review they had seen that compares the device to bacon.

The review itself is less breakfast and more verdict. After a week with the 15-inch AMOLED tablet as his everyday machine, Chris admits the upgrades are thin and the price is high, but the description calls that enormous screen a pure pleasure for films, games and creative work. The comments became an owners' club: people still happy on an S8, S9 or S9 Ultra, one long thread arguing that nobody with a recent Ultra needs to upgrade, and another busy with the choice of a MediaTek chip. Someone else simply wants to know whether it doubles as a plate for an English breakfast.

It passed 180,000 views in three days, but the newest arrival is moving faster. The Vivo X Fold 6 early review went up on October 2 and, within hours, was gathering views at about twice the tablet's daily pace. In it Chris measures the foldable against Apple's iPhone Duo and Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and promises his iPhone 18 Pro review this weekend.

Around them sat Technics headphones he calls his favorite of the decade (tested in the middle of Tokyo), Sony's ULT Tower party speakers and a sponsored HP OmniBook X Flip tour. The channel is running a little above its usual daily views. Among similar-sized gadget channels, Parker Burton and Switch and Click are having the big weeks, while Techmoan and Brandon Butch are running quieter.
