Blockrat answers "green." Asked about his Minecraft biome, the hidden player gives That Chief Guy and Knarfy a clue that sends their thinking away from the desert. His base is beneath it, inside a lush cave.

That distinction does a lot of work in "They Have 1 Hour to Find My Secret Base - Ep. 2," which drew about 200,000 views in sixteen hours, well ahead of the channel's usual start. Chief is searching rather than hiding this time, with Blockrat making himself comfortable underground behind a tripwire entrance.

Finding the right patch of map is only part of the problem. Blockrat can play curses that interrupt the questioning: catch a pufferfish, shear the same sheep twice, put a name tag on a spider. The seekers have a deadline, but suddenly they're fishing and waiting for wool.

Chief credits Jet Lag: The Game as the series' inspiration and EightSidedSquare's Hide and Seek mod for influencing its mechanics. The resulting rules have viewers discussing game design as much as hiding spots. Several suggest making directional clues something the hunters must earn, rather than letting early answers immediately eliminate large sections of the map. Others focus on the green-biome answer and whether clues should describe what's visible from above.

The distinction finally clicks when Chief and Knarfy request screenshots with only minutes left. Sand overhead, greenery below: they have been looking for the wrong kind of green.

  • The cardinal directions immediatelly cut off 3/4th of the map, it could be cool if you could unlock it as a reward for something as you go - rather than being an immediate major bonus

  • If youre on a set map, you all should spawn in a random location on the map. So the first two are not automatically N/S and E/W. I do love the jetlag style minecraft game c:

  • Ohh theres a new jetlag episode? ....wait what?? THAT CHIEF GUY?????
  • When doing the Sequal, you need a rule - anything related to biomes relates to the biome visible on a map.

  • I know it's unrealistic but I need this to be a daily series so bad
